The Greybeards live in the ancient monastery Hoch-Hrothgar. They reveal the ancient power of the Thu'um to the Dragonborn and show him or her the way of controlling it. They can give you a miscellaneous quest in which they reveal the location of a word wall which can make it easier for the Dragonborn to learn them.
