A Schmiede und Amboss are interactive objects found in Himmelsrand that your character can use to craft new Waffen und Rüstung. Your Schmiedekunst perks determine which materials you can use to forge new items.

Forging weapons and armor at a forge or anvil require components, like Leder or metal Barren. The components required to create an item appear below it on the right side of the screen. If you have a component, it is displayed in white; if not, it is displayed in grey. Forges can usually be found near shops that sell Waffen und Rüstung and can be used at any point in the game.

To use a forge or anvil, walk up to it and press the activate button, on the PC, on the PS3 or on the Xbox.
