Walkthrough[ | ]
Legate Rikke tells the Dragonborn that the Imperial Legion needs to deliver some forged orders to Frorkmar Banner-Torn in Dawnstar. In order to do this, the Stormcloak Documents need to be intercepted so they can be forged.
Find the Stormcloak courier[ | ]
The Stormcloak courier should be either at the Nightgate Inn or Candlehearth Hall.
Retrieve the Stormcloak courier's package[ | ]
It can take a few attempts before the courier is located. Speaking to the innkeeper in either town will provide some clues as to his location at the time.
Note that e.g. the innkeeper Hadring will only divulge information with some Persuasion, 834 or Intimidation.
Bring the documents to Legate Rikke[ | ]
To retrieve the package of Stormcloak Documents, the courier can either be pickpocketed or killed and looted. If the Dragonborn opts to kill the courier, this should be done outside either of the towns and out of sight of anyone, otherwise a bounty will be incurred.
Bring the forged documents to Frorkmar Banner-Torn[ | ]
The forged copies, the Forged Documents, must then be brought to Frorkmar Banner-Torn in Dawnstar. Frorkmar generously gives a 5 tip.
Return to Legate Rikke for a more substantial reward.
