Advanced Armors is a perk in the Smithing skilltree which allows you to create Scaled and Plate armor at forges, and improve them twice as much . It requires a minimum of 50 points in the Smithing skilltree and the Elven Smithing perk.

This perk affects the following types of armor as well as any enchanted versions:
Scaled Armor Set[ | ]
Scaled armors are light advanced armors which are improved with Corundum Ingots.
Plate Armor Set[ | ]
Plate armors are heavy advanced armors which are improved with Corundum Ingots.
Morag Tong Armor Set[ | ]
Scaled armors are light advanced armors which are improved with Leather.
Nordic Carved Armor Set[ | ]
Plate armors are heavy advanced armors which are improved with Quicksilver Ingots.
