Elmus is the brewer of a band of Nords who recently lost their Thirsk Mead Hall to a group of well-organized Rieklings. Being separated from his brewery and his mead does not make him happy.

The Dragonborn can offer to help mellow out the situation by retrieving Ashfire Mead from the hall (before concluding Retaking Thirsk).
