There are a number of variations on "the basket" (see gallery below). They weigh the same amount and have the same resale value. While these baskets may contain items, they are of no other use in the game. A popular activity with baskets (like buckets, is to pick up the basket by holding the activate button, turn it upside down, and place it on an NPC's head. This effectively blinds the NPC.
