The Hylian Shield is a shield exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It has a base armour rating of 23 and is not leveled.
The Hylian Shield was the preferred shield that the Hylian knights of Hyrule's army used. It was also wielded by the Hero of Hyrule in times long forgotten. How the Hylian Shield ended up at the top of the Throat of the World is beyond any living being currently residing in Skyrim.

The Hylian Shield can be unlocked using any Legend of Zelda amiibo, or found at the top of the Throat of the World alongside the Champion's Tunic and Master Sword.
