While walking around Whiterun, the Dragonborn can speak with Amren, a Redguard who is arguing with his wife, Saffir. Asking Amren what the argument was about, he explains some bandits made off with his family sword. The Dragonborn can then offer to look for it.

Once secured, the Dragonborn can then return the Sword to Amren and collect the reward.
