Walkthrough

This quest begins when the Dragonborn strikes up a conversation with Runil, the priest of Arkay in Falkreath. The elf mentions that he has lost his journal and asks the Dragonborn to retrieve it.

Find Runil's Journal inside a random dungeon or cave

Runil will specify where to look for the journal, but it will be one of the following locations:

• Bloated Man's Grotto
• Brittleshin Pass
• Darkshade
• Embershard Mine
• Halldir's Cairn
• Moss Mother Cavern
• Southfringe Sanctum
• Sunderstone Gorge

Return to Runil

The Dragonborn can then return to the Falkreath Hall of the Dead and speak to Runil to receive a reward.
