Hermaeus Mora is the daedric prince of fate, knowledge and memory. In his rare dealings with mortals, he often chooses to appear as a grotesque mass of tentacles. In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, he appears as "Wretched Abyss" and attempts to convince the Dragonborn to supplant his current champion, Septimus Signus.
He is also referred to as the "Guardian of the Unseen" and the "Knower of the Unknown".
