The ever vigilant Gunmar at Fort Dawnguard hears of vampires masquerading a humans, as Travelling Bards or Pilgrims. They need to be eliminated before they undermine human society.
Discreetly kill <Target>[]
Travel to the indicated town, there at the local inn the Dragonborn will find the vampire target. The easiest way to dispose of them discreetly i.e. without witnesses, is to persuade them to follow, though intimidation also works. Then quick travel to Fort Dawnguard and kill them there, no witnesses.
Direct stealth kills at inns, i.e. sneaking and using a bow, may be possible, but will require very much more patience and probably luck.
Examples:
- in Dawnstar visit the Windpeak Inn, take out a Travelling Pilgrim, reward Iron Helmet of Major Alteration.
- in Ivarstead visit the Vilemyr Inn, take out a Travelling Bard, reward Necklace of Peerless Wielding.
- in Solitude visit The Winking Skeever, take out a Travelling Bard, reward Necklace of Peerless Sneaking.
Return to Gunmar[]
Return with the good news to Gunmar who will reward with an enchanted item.
Since these are Radiant (randomly generated) quests, this quest can be repeated endlessly.
