Walkthrough[]
Should the Dragonborn decide to join the Stormcloaks in their effort to win the Civil War in Skyrim, their leader Ulfric Stormcloak will quickly defer to his right-hand-man Galmar Stone-Fist. It is to him that the Dragonborn must prove worthiness.
Kill the Ice Wraith[]
Travel to Serpentstone Isle and kill the Ice Wraith that is there.
Return to Galmar[]
Travel back to Windhelm, and find Galmar in the Palace of the Kings.
Take the Oath[]
To become a member of the Stormcloaks, repeat the Oath:
- "I do swear my blood and honor to the service of Ulfric Stormcloak... Jarl of Windhelm and true High King of Skyrim. As Talos is my witness, may this oath bind me to death and beyond... even to my lord as to my fellow brothers and sisters in arms. All hail the Stormcloaks, the true sons and daughters of Skyrim!"
Note: Completing this quest causes the "competing" Joining the Legion quest to fail.
