The Master Sword is a weapon exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It has a base damage of 12 and is not leveled.
The Master Sword is a weapon that was once wielded by the Hero of Hyrule and was forged by the gods. How it managed to end up at the top of the Throat of the World is beyond any living being currently residing in Skyrim, since most have forgotten about the Blade of Evil's Bane's existence.
It shares many similarities with Elven Swords, such as damage output, Refined Moonstone for smithing and swing speed. Because of these factors, the reasonable conclusion is that the Master Sword also benefits from the Elven Smithing perk.
Trivia
- The Master Sword is the only weapon in the game to not get any blood on it. This could either be due to it being a sacred weapon, or if Nintendo requested it specifically.
- The model used for the Master Sword is similar to the model of the Master Sword used in Skyward Sword, hence the blue tint to the blade.
- Its hilt is faded in some parts, as well as on the gem. The blade also has small scratches on it, indicating that it was used before within the Elder Scrolls universe.
