While at the College of Winterhold, the Dragonborn can speak with Drevis Neloren about any work that might need doing. The instructor will mention that there are several focal points for magical energy around the college which need to be cleansed. He also provides the Dragonborn with Mystic Tuning Gloves to do the cleansing.
Cleanse the focal points for magical energies around the College[ | ]
There are three of these focal points:
- a large, blue, glowing well in the central courtyard of the College, in front of the statue of the mage with the billowing cloak
- a similar well on the bottom level of the Hall of Attainment, and
- a third well on the bottom level of the Hall of Countenance.
All these are clearly marked on the map.
Return to Drevis Neloren[ | ]
Once all three focal points have been activated, the Dragonborn can then return to Neloren for a reward.
Notes[ | ]
- The Mystic Tuning Gloves received can be pickpocketed before taking on the cleansing quest. But when Drevis is supposed to hand them over, you will not get another pair. At the end of the quest he will take back these gloves, and they cannot be pickpocketed any longer or bought. Which is a shame, since they look quite distinguished.
