Sapphire is a member of the Thieves' Guild. She is rarely found in their hideout at the Ragged Flagon, instead preferring to spend her time at the Bee and Barb inn or The Ragged Flagon - Cistern.
Sapphire was originally the daughter of a pig farmer who was abducted when her family's farm was attacked by bandits. She eventually killed the bandits when they were sleeping and made her way to the Thieves' Guild. Recently she was involved in a scam where she loaned a merchant some money and ordered the caravan attacked so that she could get more interest out of the merchant.
Her real name seems to have some significance, but she will only reveal it to the Dragonborn later.
