Walkthrough[ | ]
While in Riften, the Dragonborn can speak with Balimund, the local blacksmith. If the Dragonborn comments about the man's obvious pride in his own workmanship, Balimund explains that smithing has been in his family's blood for generations. He says that secret is in his forefather's recipe for flames which uses Fire Salts. He goes on to say that his supply of fire salts is depleted and that he needs more. The Dragonborn can then offer to get some more.
Bring 10 fire salts to Balimund[ | ]
The fire salts can be acquired by killing Flame Atronachs, purchased or stolen.
Return to Balimund[ | ]
Once secured, the Dragonborn can return to Balimund for a reward.
