The Dragonborn will most likely encounter Vigilant Tyranus standing in the street, right in front of the Abandoned House. He is torn whether to enter the haunted house or not. The Dragonborn may offer to accompany him.
Search the abandoned house[ | ]
Entering the Abandoned House about to enter the cellar area via door, the house becomes alive, telling the Dragonborn to kill or be killed by the Vigilant Tyranus. After killing the manipulated Vigilant, the ominous voice of the house promises a reward for the deed, down in the cellar cave.
Find your reward[ | ]
Entering the cellar area of the house the Dragonborn ends up at an altar, with a strange mace floating above it. Here the Dragonborn will get trapped by the source of the eerie voice: Molag Bal. Who pressures the Dragonborn into helping punish Logrolf the Willful, who desecrated Molag's shrine.
Find the priest of Boethiah[ | ]
Molag Bol then tells the Dragonborn to go and find Logrolf the Willful, a priest of Boethiah and bring him back to the Abandoned House. Logrolf could be at any one of the following Forsworn camps:
- Broken Tower Redoubt
- Bruca's Leap Redoubt
- Deepwood Redoubt
- Druadach Redoubt
- Hag Rock Redoubt
- Red Eagle Redoubt
Free Logrolf[ | ]
Freeing Logrolf makes him very suspicious of why the Dragonborn knows of the location of his incarceration. To cover up having been sent by Molag Bal, the Dragonborn can use his power of persuasion (sent by Boethiah, a lie), bribery (e.g. 379 
L50), or intimidation actually admitting to have been sent by Molag Bal.
Logrolf rushes off right to the Abandoned House.
Note: Logrolf does not run the distance to Markarth. Exiting the cave, he teleports to the house directly.
Go to the abandoned house[ | ]
Visiting the Abandoned House, Logrolf will stand in the first room, and rush right to the altar in the cellar.
Beat Logrolf into submission[ | ]
At the altar Logrolf is trapped by Molag Bal, in the same trap the Dragonborn was initially caught in. Then Molag Bal wants the Dragonborn to beat Logrolf into submission using the Mace of Molag Bal.
Kill Logrolf[ | ]
After succeeding, Logrolf will submit, but this is not enough for the vengeful Molag Bal, telling the Dragonborn to actually kill Logrolf (not really the morally right thing to do).
Speak to Molag Bal[ | ]
Speaking to Molag Bal after these unsightly happenings will yield the Dragonborn's reward, the Mace of Molag Bal. Asking for more will be laughed off.
