Ungrien is one of the employees at the Black-Briar Meadery in Riften where he works the tasting counter. In the evenings he returns to his lodgings at Haelga's Bunkhouse.

- There was an exploit in the game which allowed the player to increase their Speech skill unlimitedly. Simply talking to Ungrien at work and saying "Tell me about Maven Black-Briar." Then saying "Come on, get the truth off your chest. (Persuade)" repeatedly allowed the player to increase their speech to 100. This has been fixed in Patch 1.9.
