Vex is a respected member of the Thieves' Guild, and a master Lockpicking trainer.
She will not react to the Dragonborn, until joining the Thieves' Guild.
Before the Dragonborn showed up, she failed a job with Delvin Mallory to set an example of the Goldenglow Estate by burning some beehives. Vex once caught Delvin peeping on her while she was bathing and left a note threatening him not to do it again or be faced with bodily harm to his sensitive regions.
